Virginia (Gigi) Alcalde Davis
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and Registered Yoga Teacher with a passion for helping adolescents and adults navigate the intersection of mental and physical health.
My path into this work has been shaped by both professional training and personal experience. Through navigating my own physical and mental health challenges, I found myself searching for a more integrated understanding of healing—one that recognized the interconnectedness of our physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being, and the many factors that shape our overall health. That journey continues to shape how I practice today.
My Approach
I believe symptoms, whether emotional or physical, carry meaningful information rather than represent personal failure. I approach every person I work with and their life story with curiosity, compassion, and clinical depth. I integrate psychotherapy, integrative and functional nutrition, mindfulness, somatic practices, and nervous system-informed interventions to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each person’s unique experiences, needs, and priorities. When appropriate, I also incorporate laboratory data and functional testing to develop a more comprehensive understanding of a person’s health.
My hope is to create a space where you feel safe enough to better understand yourself and reconnect with your body while finding relief from symptoms and developing practical tools and strategies to move through life with greater balance, resilience, and clarity.
Clinical Experience
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization levels of care. These experiences have given me the opportunity to support people with a wide range of mental health, nutritional, and medical concerns while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams.
